To solo at champs, dancers must have placed 1-6th at a regional event to qualify

Please note: The routine should be repeated until the adjudicators stop the music

Please ensure that your dancers try to return to the space in which they started when they repeat

There will be a CUO Demonstrator for dancers under 8 years old

(Non-CUO personnel must not demonstrate)

To support our younger dancers in the BegContemporary Under 6 sections, we have made a small adjustment.

If dancers are unable to learn the set routine, they may perform an improvised Contemporary solo instead. These dancers will still be judged and scored in the same way by our judges.

This is to help keep the section inclusive and age-appropriate, while still giving our youngest dancers the opportunity to take part and enjoy performing.

Routine Notes

Alice has filmed the routines with the camera pointed into the mirror, so you need to copy her exactly as you see her -Use the same visible hand, leg, and direction as Alice appears to use. Think of it as copying someone directly in front of you -

Start the routine head down and hands on your right hip and wave hands to the left

1) Wait 2 counts of 8 before the routine starts

2) 2nd time repeat wait 1 count before starting again (there's a tiny 1 count gap)

3) 3rd time repeat, go straight away, it's a bit quicker
